He founded New England Land Company, Ltd. in 1971 as a land development company, subsequently expanding the company into broad based real estate services. Highlights of the company's 36 year history include major lease transactions with IBM, GTE, Eastman Kodak, Control Data and General Reinsurance; the sale of Conyers Farm (the single largest land transaction in the history of Greenwich); the development/leasing of The Center at Purchase, an 850,000 square foot corporate office park in Westchester County; the development/leasing of The Center at Greenwich, a 750,000 square foot mixed use complex including a 200,000 square foot corporate office building and the 400-room Hyatt Regency Greenwich Hotel; two Randolph, Vermont projects, the Green Mountain Stock Farm a 1,300-acre residential development centered around the Three Stallion Inn, and the 170-acre Green Mountain Office and Industrial Park.
Nathaniel
P. Barnum
Mr. Barnum has twenty years experience in the
commercial real estate business, specializing in the
sale and leasing of office and retail properties in
Southern Fairfield County. His experience includes both
owner and tenant/buyer representation. His tenant
representation activities include relocation cost
analysis, market survey, comparative lease analysis,
lease negotiations, and coordination of tenant
relocation services (space planning, interior
constructions, and telecommunications services). Mr.
Barnum has assisted tenants such as Marsh & McLennan,
The Dress Barn, American Express, PNC Bank, Sears, and
Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, along with hedge funds such as
Silver Point Capital, North Sound Capital, and Gleacher
Fund Advisors. His owner representation activities
include developing marketing plans, tenant canvassing,
tenant relocation analysis and lease negotiations. He
has worked with owners such as ING/Clarion Realty, Hines
Properties, Reckson, and W&M Properties.
In addition, Mr. Barnum is a board
member of The Greenwich Chapter of the American Red Cross
and a past board member of The Greenwich Field Club, Christ
Church Outreach Foundation and a member of the Brunswick
Alumni Council. He has also been involved in fundraising for
the local chapters of The United Way, Kids in Crisis, The
Boy Scouts and The March of Dimes.
Mr. Barnum is an Executive Vice
President at New England Land Company, Ltd., which is based
in Greenwich, and is a licensed real estate broker in
Connecticut and New York.
In addition to real estate, he enjoys
playing squash, softball, sailing, coaching little league
and has a sense of humor regarding his golf game.

Allan Murphy
Mr. Murphy was formerly a Vice President in J.P.
Morgan's New York based real estate investment banking
group. While there he completed sale, financing, and
consulting assignments for over $1 billion of property. In
1988 he joined Cushman & Wakefield's Boston office
where he completed sale, leasing, financing, consulting,
and valuation assignments for over $750 million of real
estate. He subsequently established and managed C&W's
property tax consulting business in the northeast. In 1995
Mr. Murphy joined The Codman Company as Vice President
responsible for Investment Sales. While there he was
responsible for over $100 million of sale and lease
transactions.
At New England Land Company Allan
specializes in the sale and leasing of commercial property
in southern Fairfield County. He has completed over 70
lease and sale transactions for over $80 million of
property since joining New England Land Company in 1996.
He is a graduate of Cornell University and a licensed real
estate salesperson. |
